FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

The crow may only eat the top worm card from a stack. The crow may not eat Fake Worms and specially marked worms (those with an asterisk).

Question: If the crow wants to eat the top worm card in a stack but it is a Fake Worm or a specially marked worm, can the crow eat the next highest worm in the stack or are all the cards lying under it protected?
Answer: All cards under the top card in a stack are protected! If a crow doesn't like the top worm (worms with asterisks or the Fake Worm), then it may not eat any worm from that stack.

Resolving weddings
I am not clear as to who wins a wedding. According to rules, two requirements must be met: you must have a wedding card played at that bride (female bird) and you have to have the highest value of worm played at that bride.

Question: Is it correct that all hopeful suitors (male birds with a Wedding card and worms) get nothing if a non-suitor (male bird with worms only, no Wedding card) has a higher value of worms at that bride or does the highest value of worms rule only apply to male birds that have also played a wedding card?
Answer: The Highest Value of Worms rule is applicable independent of Wedding cards. All suitors are rejected by the bride if any non-suitor has a higher vale of worms played at that bride. Of course, the non-suitor fails to mate with the bride, as well, since he didn't play a Wedding card. However, his worms remain in place at that bride at the end of the Wedding phase. All worms played by suitors (e.g. worms played with a Wedding card) are discarded at the end of the Wedding phase
